Paterson has a new mayor: Jeff Jones

Paterson, the third largest city in NJ, has a new mayor tonight: Jeffrey Jones. Jones  incumbent Jose "Joey" Torres 8,399 votes to 7,801. Councilman Andre Sayegh is third with 3,277 votes. It is not clear tonight how many  provisional votes were cast. This will be determined by the end of the week. The three winners for City Council are Kenneth Morris Jr, Ken McDaniel and Benjie Wimberly. Their vote
Mayor Torres plans to furlough workers

Police Director Michael Walker resigns
